A brand photoshoot works best when you know what the images need to do. Before choosing outfits or a backdrop, make a short list of the places your photographs will appear: your website, booking page, social profiles, press kit, launch graphics, or emails. Each use calls for a slightly different frame.

Start with the pages you’re building

Look at your homepage and About page. Do you need a portrait with space for a headline? A close-up for a profile photo? A horizontal image for a banner? Note the shapes you need before shoot day so Ki can plan a mix of vertical and horizontal photographs.

Make a simple shot list

  • Introduction: a portrait that clearly shows your face.
  • At work: a few images showing what you create or how you serve clients.
  • Details: hands, tools, products, or meaningful elements of your space.
  • Personality: images that feel like you and suit the way you speak to your audience.

Keep the list focused. A clear plan leaves room for natural moments during the session.

Choose outfits and a location with a purpose

Pick looks that fit the places you’ll use the images. A polished outfit may suit a press bio; a more relaxed look may work for everyday content. Bring pieces you can move in and check that patterns, jewelry, and colors sit comfortably with your brand. Think about whether a studio, workspace, or outdoor location helps tell your story.

Ki’s Brand Starter includes up to two outfits and a questionnaire. Signature Brand allows up to four outfits and includes a 30–45-minute strategy call. Use that time to discuss your shot list, setting, and priorities.
