A creative shoot should look like the project you’re bringing to life. If you’re a musician, artist, content creator, or founder with a strong concept, start with the feeling you want someone to get from the photos. Then plan the looks, props, and location that make that feeling visible.
Give the concept a destination
Are the images for a release cover, a website, a media kit, or a month of social posts? Make a list of formats you need. A square cover, vertical reel thumbnail, and wide website banner all need different framing, even when they come from the same shoot.
Bring references that show the energy
Collect a few examples of lighting, colors, poses, or styling you love. Tell Ki what you like about each one. The goal is to build a direction that feels like you, rather than copy someone else’s photo.
Plan the useful shots and leave room to play
- Hero image: the one that introduces your next project.
- Details: instruments, tools, wardrobe, or objects that belong to your story.
- Content variations: expressions, angles, and frames you can use across platforms.
Bring the idea to your consult call. On the strategy call, you and Ki can map the shot list, wardrobe, location, and details so shoot day feels focused and fun. Explore brand photography or see Ki’s creative portraits.
